Need to Make Your Gate or Fence Pool Compliant?

If you’ve got a pool or you’re installing one, there’s a good chance your existing gate or fence doesn’t quite meet requirements.

Across Perth suburbs like Sorrento, Hillarys, Kingsley and surrounding areas, councils typically look for secure, self-closing access points and barriers that help restrict unsupervised entry -and the right gate or fence extension is often the simplest way to get everything compliant , keep kids safe and the council happy.

Pool Compliant aluminium slat Gates for Side Access Areas

You might already have your main pool fence and entrance gate sorted- but don’t forget the gate on the side of your house. If that area connects to your pool zone, it needs to meet the same pool safety expectations.

We manufacture and install custom aluminium slat gates specifically designed to meet these requirements. Whether it’s a narrow side passage or a full-width access point, our gates are built to be pool-compliant, secure, and practical for everyday use while still matching the look of your home.

Outward opening

Gate opens away from the pool area, preventing children from pushing against it and accidentally forcing it open.

Self-latching

Gate is adjusted so it closes with enough force to automatically engage the latch, so you don’t need to manually lock it each time.

Latch height

Latch is installed at a height to prevent young children from reaching and opening it — or a lift-up latch is used on shorter gates

Fence Extensions & Toppers for Pool Compliance

Not every pool area starts with the right fence height - and in a lot of homes across Perth, the existing brick or Colorbond fence is close, but not quite enough to meet typical pool barrier expectations.

That’s where fence toppers come in.

We install custom aluminium slat fence extensions that can be added to the top of existing brick or Colorbond fences to help bring the overall height up

Flush front installation (no footholds)

If an existing fence is below 1.2m, slats can be installed in a way that removes footholds and creates a continuous, non-climbable barrier up to the required height.

Only Need a Bit More Height on Your Boundary Fence?

If your existing brick or Colorbond fence is just under what’s needed for a pool barrier, you don’t have to rip it out and start again. We can add a fence extension on top to bring it up to height and make it work as part of your pool enclosure.

It’s a simple way to upgrade what you’ve already got — improving privacy, security, and overall pool safety without a full fence replacement.
