This Beldon job was all about making the front yard safer for the client’s dogs while still keeping the place looking open, modern, and easy to maintain.
We installed a custom aluminium slat gate and fence infill panels in Colorbond Shale Grey, designed to improve privacy, security, and street appeal without blocking out light or airflow.
A Dog-Safe Aluminium Slat Fence That Still Feels Open
To fix it, we built a custom aluminium slat gate and front fence infill panels in Beldon, designed specifically to keep the dog in while still letting light and air in,
At the front, we used a 40mm gap between the slats, which works well because it:
Keeps dogs safely contained
Allows airflow through the front yard
Lets natural light in
Keeps the home looking open from the street
We also installed a pedestrian aluminium slat gate and enclosed the front porch area, turning it into a secure, usable space.
Rear Aluminium Slat Gate for Privacy & Access
Out the back, the issue wasn’t the dog, it was privacy and security.
There was too much visibility into the yard and garage, so we installed a double aluminium slat gate with a fixed panel, using a smaller 10mm gap.

Everything was powder-coated in Colorbond Shale Grey, so it ties in with the house and other existing finishes.
