Rear Carport Gate Upgrade in Joondalup
At this Joondalup property, the existing timber gates had become tired, heavy, and difficult to use. Over time, they had also lost alignment and no longer provided a clean or secure finish to the rear of the carport.
The goal was to replace them with something stronger, aluminium slat double gates to enclose the carport making it easier to use, and far more visually appealing—while also improving privacy and security.
One of the key upgrades in this project was the increased gate height, which provided significantly more privacy than the original setup and added an extra layer of security by reducing visibility and access into the property.
Double Gate for Wide Access + Pedestrian Entry – Joondalup
For this project in Joondalup, we upgraded the rear of the carport with a custom aluminium slat gate layout designed to better suit how the space is used day to day.
The installation included:
A wide double aluminium slat gate for vehicle and larger access
A separate tall pedestrian gate for convenient everyday entry
This approach provides flexibility—allowing easy foot access without needing to open the full gate, while still maintaining full-width access when required. It’s a practical layout we regularly install across Perth’s northern suburbs.
Adjusting the Layout to Suit the Space
As part of this Joondalup installation, we repositioned the gate to improve the flow at the rear of the carport.
New heavy-duty posts were installed, and the layout was adjusted to ensure everything aligned correctly and functioned more naturally within the space. While a relatively small change, it made a noticeable difference to how the area is used.
